Last updated: 30 May 2026

By accessing this website or engaging with services provided by Sahara, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Nature of Services
Sahara provides professional psychotherapy and counselling services in accordance with the PACFA Code of Ethics 2017. Therapy is a supportive process and does not replace medical, psychiatric, legal or financial advice.
2. When the Therapeutic Relationship Begins

A therapeutic relationship is established only after:

  • An initial session has taken place, and

  • Informed consent has been provided and signed

Submitting an enquiry, booking request, or contact form does not constitute a therapeutic relationship.

3. Communication
  • All communication outside of sessions is via email only

  • Enquiries will be responded to within 48 hours

  • Sahara does not provide therapeutic support between scheduled sessions. If you are in distress between sessions, please contact your local crisis or emergency helpline

4. No Recording

Sessions will not be recorded by either party without explicit written consent from both the client and the therapist.

5. Appointments, Fees & Cancellations

Session fees, payment methods and cancellation policies are outlined in full on the Services & Fees and Cancellation & Refund Policy pages. By booking a session you agree to these terms.

6. Telehealth & Online Sessions

Sessions are delivered via Zoom or Google Meet. While reasonable steps are taken to ensure privacy and reliability, Sahara is not responsible for disruptions caused by internet connectivity issues or third-party platform outages. In the event of a technical disruption, we will do our best to reconnect or reschedule.

7. Ending Therapy

Either party may choose to end the therapeutic relationship at any time. Where possible, we encourage at least one closing session to bring the work to a thoughtful close. If you wish to end therapy, please let us know via email. If Sahara needs to end the relationship for example if your needs fall outside our current scope we will communicate this respectfully and support you in finding alternative care where possible.

8. Limitation of Liability

Sahara is committed to providing services that meet professional and ethical standards. However:

  • Therapy outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Progress depends on many factors including the nature of presenting concerns, engagement with the process, and circumstances outside of the therapist's control

  • Sahara is not liable for decisions made by clients outside of sessions or for outcomes arising from those decisions

  • To the extent permitted by law, Sahara is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or services

  • This limitation does not apply where loss arises from conduct that falls below the reasonable standard of professional care

Sahara holds professional indemnity insurance in accordance with PACFA registration requirements.
